I forgot how tough yard sales are. My sister has this problem with buying clothes and leaving the tags on them. I am not talking a $10 shirt either. I am talking expensive clothes and leaving the tags on them. If I buy a shirt or capri's and they are over $20 I am ripping the tags off and wearing them the next day. She, does not. So, we had a TON of clothes and other junk and Donna came over and put some of her stuff in it. It was fun to be around D - she cracks me up. Good times, good times. Anyway, so I am over the whole, "I'll give you a dollar for this.." um, no we have it priced that way for a reason. One redneck came up trying to jew me down to $1.00 for a pair of GAP shorts. I told him no and said they were GAP. I don't think he knew what that meant but whatever. So, I made $214 and I am not quite sure it was worth it. You see, I have a sit down job so I am not used to actually working..manual labor. That is for the birds. So, $214 and some change - working 15 hours. hmmm. I will get back and let you know if it was worth it. :) Bottom line I got some extra money and I will need it pretty bad in the next few months.
We got a renter house that we will be renting for a few months until C gets out of school or however long it takes us to get another house. Please pray for us during this crazy time.
Happy Monday!
My mom took these pictures of the grandkids that were there during the yard sale. Aren't they precious? :)

I am totally with you on the yard sales. They so are not worth it. I think it is much better sometimes just to take the stuff and donate it. Or find a consignment shop. Good luck with the house and the other things to come.
Sarah just had a yard sale this weekend too. She said she also don't know if she will do it again. It was a lot of hard work. I let her have my clothes to sale. I was just going to take them to goodwill anyway.
I agree that at this stage in life yard sales are way more work than they are worth. Loved having them as a kid though. $214 would have been totally worth it then. Heck $5 would have been exciting to 10 year old me.
