Griffin’s daycare is the best daycare I have ever heard of or experienced. His teachers are wonderful and the entire staff is great – they go by the rules and teach them things that parents don’t necessarily get around to. On his first week there – we sent him in with his pacifier and sippy cup. His teacher told us he wouldn’t be using it anymore and would have him broken of it by the end of the week. I thought yeah right, she doesn’t know Griffin – we’ll see. And she was right. Griffin was only 19 months old so I honestly didn’t think he was ready for that yet. Same thing with potty training. They sent us a letter home when changing rooms and the kids his age or younger would start potty training and to let them know if we weren’t ready so they wouldn’t get confused at school. I was ready when he came out to be potty trained because let’s face it – diapers are expensive. So, we started it. He slacked off a bit bc he got scared once of something with texture falling in and splashing him on the bottom but after that he is excited to do it. He cheers his friends on after they finish then he runs in and does his business too. They have a chart of what they do for pee and poo and yesterday was the first day he went all day long in the SAME diaper dry as can be. I got so excited we went to Wal-Mart and bought some big boy underwear! I got him home and pulled his clothes off so he could cram pop tart in his mouth and look what his teacher wrote on his diaper for me. (she isn’t there when I pick him up in the evenings) “this is the one he wore here” Oh yeah – he got a haircut also. I did it and was told not to bc I would mess it up. What do you think?
